as part of Inovis divestiture from Peregrine Systems, successfully completing
project within extremely short six week total time span. Project involved sites
in five US and three European locations (included both domestic and overseas
travel), and was not allowed to impact ongoing production environment. Project
was completed successfully on time and under budget with no business-hours
downtime for any end users.
§
Designed and

servers can be restored on-site with no downtime to production servers,
including ability to restore Exchange mailboxes without taking mailbox servers
offline. Several production data restores were necessary and all completed
successfully.
§
Created and
implemented patching and security policies for production servers and
environment. Implemented ISS security systems to assist in preventing attacks.
As a result, production systems have been unaffected by virus or worm attacks.
§
Designed and
implemented high-availability paperless fax server solution for critical
incoming faxes, allowing receipt and routing to appropriate personnel. Resulted
in eliminating manually handled paper contracts and decreasing administrative
overhead for sales department.
§
Implemented
global Antivirus solutions. Result was 100% coverage of all production systems
and ability to manage those systems from central locations.

§
Successful
remediation of Y2K challenges with 100% system and application availability
pre- and post-Jan1.
§
Implemented
and operated server and environment monitoring systems. As a result, all
production systems can be monitored from central locations. Resulted in a
substantial decrease in unplanned server downtime.
§
Relocated
satellite offices in Salt Lake City, Denver, and Novato. Included hardware
moves, configuration of routers, switches, and PIX firewalls. Resulted in
increased efficiency for satellite offices as well as lowered cost and IT
overhead.
§
Implemented
remote server management ability for all production servers worldwide. This
allowed for reduction in staffing at remote locations and reduced travel to
overseas offices, resulting in direct cost savings to IT department.
